John Mowen and Steve Solinsky are longtime residents and artists of Nevada City with more than 25 years of individual experience in creating and honing their art and working with collectors. Their vision is the strength of the gallery and is equally supported by over 100 regional and national artists. After years of consideration, Mowen and Solinsky saw it was time to introduce a gallery that would highlight so many gifted artists and could draw patrons from through out California and the U.S.  Their involvement in the arts enabled them to attract fine artists and fine craftspeople to this contemporary showcase. The Mowen Solinsky Gallery is housed in an 1870's spacious, well-lit, historic building in downtown Nevada City.  The city is proud of this large scale, welcoming art gallery located in the heart of the Gold Rush town and it is a regular stop for visitors and locals alike. New work and creative displays change often and the gallery hosts many openings and public events. The gallery has a knowledgeable staff and management who can answer questions and offer unique gift ideas.  Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, the Mowen Solinsky Gallery is certainly worth a trip to colorful Nevada City.
